2nd Test

The test gets underway today with the selectors deciding to stick with our less than adequate Top 6, indicating they need a chance to prove themselves. The only change being that De Villiers would open and Gibbs will drop to 6. I was ecstatic when De VIlliers was dropped down the order as naturally I thought our selectors were envisioning what I was for once. Sadly this is not the case, it seems that the selectors have no problem changing the roles of our players. De Villiers will inherit the gloves from Boucher – sooner rather than later in the tests I hope, meaning that De Villiers needs to get accustomed to coming in at 6 or 7 in the order.

On the bowling front, Steyn is out, Hall is fit and Morkel is on the sidelines. We need to play a strike bowler, however I think Harris will get his debut today

Good Luck SA
