SA Contracted Players

Cricket South Africa have released the list of the 15 contracted players from 1 May 08 to 30 April 09. There are four newcomers to the list, Morne Morkel, Johan Botha, Paul Harris and JP Duminy. They have replaced Shaun Pollock,  Andrew Hall, Boeta Dippenaar and Justin Kemp. Kemp is the only player that has been dropped as the rest have retired from international cricket. There could be speculation that Boeta knew or was told his contract was not going to be renewed. The loss of the above four will take some replacing, however the current contracted players have some of the best prospects South African cricket has seen in years. If Duminy, Morkel and Steyn perform to their potential, South Africa will continue to be one of the best nations in the world.
